Vegetable peelers, jugs and cars
I had a valuable visit to the Independent Living Centre today, not only was it informative, but a lot of fun. I had no idea that there were some many things available to help people with all manner of disabilities; they had everything from various special potato peelers to cars specially modified for people with disabilities.

I made the visit with my occupational therapist with a view to finding a few things to make life a little easier when I move into my new home. One nifty little find was a special jug (kettle) that is in a tilt stand, so when the water is boiled I need not have to lift it (ongoing muscle weakness and atrophy is still a major issue), but simple tilt, and hopefully avoiding being burned. We also managed to find a few other bits and pieces which I shall endeavour to have some photos taken of, then upload.

Speaking of photos...I noticed that all my photos are gone from my album. :(
